JAKARTA GREAT SALE is here again!

To last for one and a half month from 1 June to 14 July, this year’s Jakarta Great Sale involves no less than 72 malls and shopping centers and 5,000 shops across the capital city. Offering 70% discounts and exciting Midnight Sales,Jakarta is sure to be swarmed by shopaholics from all parts of Indonesia as well as from overseas.

Held in conjunction with Jakarta’s Anniversary which falls on 22 June, not only are high end malls such as the Pacific Place, Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Gandaria City offering huge discounts, but wholesale centers such as theTanah Abang Center, - center for batik, muslim wear, embroideries and accessories for wholesale and retail – as well as other malls on the outskirts of the city such as Mal Cijantung, CITOS, Tamini Square, will all be joining the fray in the biggest and longest Jakarta Great Sale Festival ever.

To attract visitors to the malls, Mal Pondok Indah (PIM) has again invited the Russian Trapeze to show between 22 June-15 July. Mal Central Park will feature Korea’s Smash on 15 July, Firework Show on 29th to 30 June, and Family Day Out with Sponge Bob on 16-5 June – 8 July.

While Mal Kelapa Gading has decided o extend its “Kampoeng Tempo Doeloe” at the Piazza to 3 June, offering all sorts of culinary delights, including old fashioned Dutch dishes and desserts.

But Shopping Centers wil also do their part to enhance Jakarta’s social and cultural scene by opening opportunities for the public to donate blood. While malls will also feature cultural performances from Jakarta’s Betawi community and others.
